Error XML Sitemap

XML Sitemap atau yang biasanya disebut dengan sitemap adalah peta situs kita atau dengan kata lain halaman khusus yang berisi seluruh link yang ada di situs kita yang berfungsi untuk mempermudah bot google masuk dan mengcrawl halaman-halaman atau link yang ada blog atau web kita.

Seperti yang sudah pernah saya tulis (Membuat Sitemap di Wordpress) kali ini saya akan membahas mengenai error atau masalah yang timbul setelah mendownload dan menginstall pluginnya. Pesan error yang muncul di panel admin – Option – XML-Sitemap adalah sebagai berikut:

* There was a problem writing your sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more
* There was a problem writing your zipped sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more

Ada dua kemungkinan yang menyebabkan masalah ini. Yang pertama dikarenakan belum membuat file sitemap.xml dan sitemap.xml.gz di direktory “htdocs“. Untuk cara pembuatan file sitemap.xml dan sitemap.xml.gz silahkan baca tulisan saya sebelumnya tentang Membuat Sitemap di Wordpress.

Yang kedua dikarenakan sudah membuat dan mengupload kedua file tadi tetapi belum mensetting “CHMOD“nya dari 0644 menjadi 0777 untuk caranya bisa dilihat di tulisan saya disini.

Setelah selesai membuat file sitemap.xml dan sitemap.xml.gz dan menguploadnya serta mensettingnya CHMOD-nya maka akan tampak tampilan seperti dibawah ini :
